01Overview
Northline imagines a direct-to-consumer outdoor apparel brand selling technical products to international customers. The concept focuses on helping shoppers choose confidently — the right size, the right material, the right conditions — while keeping the store fast on mobile.
02The challenge
Technical products generate questions: Will it fit? Is it waterproof enough? What does shipping cost to my country? When stores can't answer these quickly, shoppers leave for a marketplace or a competitor. Many stores also slow down as apps accumulate.
03Proposed solution
We designed product pages around decision support: condition-based filtering, structured specifications, fit guidance, and clear shipping and returns information before checkout. A disciplined app strategy and an optimized media pipeline keep the theme fast, while Shopify Markets supports multi-currency selling without guessing a visitor's location.
04Approach
Decision-led product pages
Specs, fit, care, and use-case content structured in scannable layers instead of long, unbroken descriptions.
Collection architecture
Filters built around activities and conditions, mirroring how customers actually shop.
Checkout clarity
Shipping thresholds, delivery estimates, and returns policy visible in the cart, not discovered at the last step.
Performance budget
A strict app and script budget, responsive images, and lazy-loaded media below the fold.
05Results
As a concept project, there are no client results to report. If this were a live engagement, these are the measures we would agree on up front and report against:
- Product page to add-to-cart rate
- Cart to completed checkout rate
- Mobile Largest Contentful Paint
- Return rate attributed to sizing
